The RBR PATROLMAN SHIELD is designed to augment traditional body armor for law enforcement or military use. It is lightweight, versatile, stab-resistant and provides protection from IIIA ballistics. The incorporation of the flashlight as a handle encourages usage and renders this piece of defensive equipment dual purpose, reducing the carry-load of the common law enforcement officer. Its size and shape protect areas not commonly protected by standard body armor alone including the face and under-arm cavity in systems which do not implement the use of IIIA arm guards. In addition (and due to the Patrolman's light-weight ambidextrous design) by releasing the flashlight, users can continue to utilize both hands for common purposes. This is the ideal solution for first responders responding to suspicious or minimal threat situations.
