The Personal Escape Kit (PEK) is the ideal combination of respiratory, body, hand, and foot protection for NBC agents. It combines the design and safety features of the NBC Escape Hood and Tyvek F coverall into a simple to us kit. In the Porton Down Challenge, the PEK was exposed to battlefield concentrations of sulphur mustard vapor while attached to a mechanized mannequin. The test concluded the “PPE suit design fully meets the current military requirement for vapor protection.”
